Remembering Jam Master Jay (January 21, 1965 – October 30, 2002)

I had mixed feelings from various peers of their relationship to Jam Master Jay before his passing away. At the end, we all agreed that he had an impact in hip-hop. From nurturing Onyx, 50 Cent’s talent to starting the Scratch Academy; he meant for good even tho some of his moves were harsh to some, he was a business man. Mind you, in this world, every move made has a reason behind it. Every of these move will have a different version from each person because each person have their own morals, opinions and reasons. I remember, I believe back in 2002 when my boy Kaeson, a rapper whom is currently incarcerated, introduced me to Jam Master Jay. It was at the SunLife Building. I didn’t reconized him because he had that regular working man outfit with the mesh shirt and nice pants…and he had on one of those office headphones for phone lines (yeah that’s an irony huh?). I am so used to him being in black leather, adidas and that black hat as I have seen him with in his videos and in the magazines. Kaeson was trying to get him to manage me but it was just not the right time for me. Jay was managing Kaeson back then. That was my only encounter with the legend himself which was brief but meaningful which memory I will cherish forever. R.I.P. Jam Master Jay.

Chanel Leather Bike

Chanel’s founder Coco Chanel was an avid cycler and to commemorate her and make an environmental statement Chanel have released a bicycle as part of their Spring/Summer 2008 collection. The Chanel bicycle is covered in their signature quilted leather and has a quilted leather bag on the back. The bicycle has eight speeds and will be available exclusively by order from certain Chanel stores in December.
