Here’s the debut video for female rapper Kid Sister directed by Ruben Fleischer. The song is called “Pro Nails” and it features Kanye West. We’re really digging the song and video. Kid Sister reportedly made this video for three thousand dollars (!) and it looks better than some big budget videos.
Being a DJ, I prefer the mixed crowd or what they would call the high end crowd. Not only it pays better because companies got more dineros but they are more open musically. I can play rock, pop, hip-hop, soul in one night and they be diggin it. Lately, I’ve been lovin the 80’s and so do the whole world (see Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado, Ciara). Kenna brings that essence in his music and not one song is weak. (Yes I just bought his Album!). Check him out and see for yourself!
There is a gap musically and Ahmir are there to fill in that void. They remind me of Boys II Men. Their songs are classics that I’m sure will be played in 10 years! They were featured in Vibe Magazine, these boys got it goin on!

Ok, being that I am of an Asian descent and that I am in the music business, I feel there’s a void for an Asian-American star just like a Beyonce or a J-Lo, it’s time. Think about how many people actually live in Asia alone. And then, how many Asians and Asian of descent live in America…I feel we are being misrepresented and stereotyped as the kung-fu or the nerdy characters in Hollywood. I feel there aren’t enough Asians or Asian of descent in music. I’ve seen talents but people are scared to sign something they don’t really know. Labels have a lot of incompetant staffs that don’t do their research and work for their money’s worth…matter fact forget the money. Some of them don’t deserve to be there because they want to be elsewhere in reality and that’s what they don’t do their job correctly. I am still mad at what happened to Jin and Amerie. Well I’m going to stop here cuz I will vent for hours. Here are what I have found:

They say the artist is as strong as his/her team, if that’s true, then best believe she is there to stomp a lot of competition!
